About us
Pet Guide is an editorial project devoted to explaining, in plain language, everything you need to look after a pet properly: feeding, daily care, health, size and life expectancy.
How we work
Every guide is written from veterinary bibliography, animal-welfare guidelines and specialised sources. Before publishing we check three things: that the concrete data (amounts, timings, temperatures) are verified; that the text can be understood without being a vet; and that it promises nothing that cannot be kept.
When a fact changes —a vaccination schedule, a travel requirement, a feeding recommendation— the guide is updated. If you spot a mistake, write to us and we will correct it: every correction is recorded in the article itself.
Where we stand
- No alarmism: what can happen in an extreme case is told as such, not as the norm.
- No diagnoses: we explain symptoms and when to see a vet, but we do not replace the consultation.
- Adoption first: we talk about adoption before buying, and we tell you the real cost of each species.
- Editorial independence: advertising (Google AdSense) is kept apart from the content and does not change what we write.
About advertising
This site is funded by Google AdSense advertising. Ads are always labelled as advertising, they do not influence our recommendations and we have no commercial relationship with the brands that appear in them.
Still in doubt
If you want to suggest a topic, point out a typo or collaborate, write to us from the contact page. We read everything.
